Influence map

Just bandwagoning over here, don't mind me.

1. Comic books - Comics have always been a big influence on me, though I've migrated from manga to western stuff in recent years. Both the art and storytelling techniques present in my favorite comics always serve to inspire and motivate me.

2. Zombies! - Zombies are awesome, always. I will watch/read/play anything at all involving them. It's a reminder to myself to draw gorey stuff more often, haha.

3. Pixar movies - The love and effort they put into every single one of their projects just blows me away. No other movie can get me invested so quickly, and have actually made me cry before (which is no small feat, I assure you).

4. Robert Downey Jr. - He is freaking gorgeous. Need I say more? I only hope someday I can truly capture his omghotness in my art, haha.

5. Valve software - Valve is the one game developer that can do no wrong in my eyes. Sure, they take a while to put out their games sometimes, but you know they will be mind-blowing when they get released, and that's what's really important to me. They are the pinnacle of great storytelling, and the art is fantastic. I'd love to work for them someday.

6. Sherlock Holmes (all versions) - I really identify with Sherlock as a character, and tend to fall in love with pretty much every incarnation of him. That, and the Victorian clothing and atmosphere is great to draw inspiration from.

7. Firefly - My favorite tv show, ever. I love the feel of the sci-fi/western environment, and the weapons and clothing. The characters are developed so much, and I really aspire to have such well thought out characters present in my own work.

8. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang - My favorite movie evar had to make it on here. I draw them ALL THE TIME, NO JOKE. That, and I've done more writing for this fandom than any other, so it's definitely up there with comics as far as how often I get inspired by it, haha.
